Urinary Incontinence

Urinary Incontinence is simply defined as the unintended passing of urine. It is a very common problem that affects millions of people.

The most common types of urinary incontinence include:

  • Stress incontinence which is where urine leaks out at times when your bladder is under pressure. This can happen when you laugh or cough.
  • Urge incontinence is when urine is passed when you feel a sudden need to pee.

These may or may not be related to stresses caused by child birth. Regardless of the level of incontinence you are experiencing we recommend an appointment so that we can diagnose the cause and help you recover.

Treatment options vary but opting for a minimally invasive solution is a preference for us if the situation dictates this. Our new minimally invasive Juliet Laser has shown excellent results for reducing these symptoms.

Other types of incontinence that would also require consultation are overflow incontinence and total incontinence which cover scenarios where leaking is more frequent.
